Introduction:
Seljalandsfoss is situated in between Selfoss and Skógafoss at the road crossing of Route 1 (the Ring Road) with the track going into Þórsmörk.This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 metres over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to go behind the waterfall.

Facts:
Seljalandsfoss was one of the most beautiful places we visited. If you walk down the path to the the left of the falls, you can find a small trail up to the top of the cliffs

It is possible to walk behind the waterfall so bring a raincoat as you will get wet from the drizzle. It is awesome walking behind Seljalandsfoss, especially on a sunny day when one can catch a rainbow. In winter time the path is closed as it gets too slippery.
