Introduction:
Fort-la-Latte or Castle of La Latte is a castle located about 4 km southeast of Cap Fréhel and about 35 km west of Saint-Malo, in the commune of Fréhel, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, France.It is a famous tourist attraction on the Cote d'Émeraude in the northeast of Brittany.

Facts:
Fort La Latte's remarkable setting on a rocky headland, has led the monument to be used as a location for a number of films. Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas battled it out with one another in the film 'The Vikings', while Sophie Marceau and Lambert Wilson talked to one another on the walkway along the castle walls in 'Les Chouans'.

Keen walkers can make their way to the Cap via the GR34 old customs officers' path from the resorts of Sables-d’Or-les-Pins or Pléhérel Plage in the west, taking in the green waters, rosy rocks – some as high as 230ft – and scenic coves like Les Grèves-d’En Bas.
