Pangong Tso lake is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m . It is 134 km long and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in Tibet, which is today under China's rule. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

Time to go:
You can go for biking from leh to pangong. Its a difficult but lovely ride. It was snowing through out the way. The beauty of lake instantly takes away the tiredness. I recommend biking to pangong in the month of july or august.
