Introduction:
Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park. Situated at the head of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

Facts:
Jokulsarlon is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Iceland. It first appeared only in 1934-1935 and has been growing ever since. It's the deepest lake in Iceland. Click here for further traveling options to the glacier lagoon.
