Introduction:
Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a state park in Pacific City, Oregon, United States. Cape Kiwanda is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, which includes Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. Hiking to the top of Cape Kiwanda allows views of Nestucca Bay to the south and Cape Lookout to the north.A sea stack, named Chief Kiawanda Rock is located 1⁄2 mile southwest of the cape. It is one of three features along the Oregon Coast that are called "Haystack Rock,"though the one in Cannon Beach is more widely known.

pe Kiwanda is part of the Three Capes Scenic Route. Kiwanda is the smallest of the three, but it is one of the best places to experience spectacular wave action. Pacific City is the home of the Pacific Dory Fleet. South of Cape Kiwanda is the dory boat launching area. North of Cape Kiwanda to Tierra Del Mar is a stretch of beach popular with picnickers. Kiwanda provides great hang gliding and kite flying opportunities.

Getting There:
It is Located in south Tillamook County, Pacific City is less than a two-hour drive from Portland, and even closer to Salem. If you prefer “as the crow flies”, we have a small state owned (unattended) airport in the heart of Pacific City.
