The caves are on the Chilean side of the lake. the Chapel (La Capilla), the Cathedral (El Catedral), and the Cave (La Cueva). It is a unique geological formation featuring a group of caverns, tunnels and pillars created in monoliths of marble and formed by waves over the last 6,000 years or so. You can travel in a small boat or kayak.

Getting There:
Buses run constantly between Buenos Aires and Bariloche. They take around 24 hours but are very comfortable. Prices were running around 800 pesos but, as with anything in Argentina, prices are known to fluctuate wildly. Expect to pay around 100 US Dollars. Buses are also availble all the way down to Rio Gallegos with stops along the way. This journey takes around 36 hours to complete.
