Introduction:

It is possible to see the forest on your own. Be aware if you rent a scooter you will not be allowed to drive it to the forest. The forest is located at the top of Mount Brinchang and scooters are not allowed on that road.

If you have rented a car in another town you can drive to the top. Scooter companies will tell you to park and the guard post near the entrance to the tea plantation and walk. It would be a LONG walk uphill to the mossy forest. It's better to take a tour that will take you to see the peak and the forest.

There aren't many places that you would say are must sees but youreally feel like the Mossy Forest is a once in a lifetime experience.
