Introduction:

The Roman Forum s a rectangular forum surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city referred to this space, originally a marketplace, as the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum.

The Rome Metro is not the most comprehensive of systems Linea B has a station at Colosseum station The Colosseum is unmistakable as you exit the station.
The Colosseum and Roman Forum is also more than adequately serviced by local buses. The Via dei Fori Imperiali that runs from the Colosseum to Piazza Venezia alongside the Roman Forum has a dozen routes that fan out after the Piazza Venezia to most accommodation areas.
